Making fun with fabric and fiber affordable by helping those who have materials and supplies no longer needed or wanted pass them along to enthusiastic recipients who are eager to sew, knit, crochet, create!
Our first Maker Challenge has come to a close! Thank you so much to all who showed interest and participated! For our first edition of the Maker Challenge we asked makers to utilize some of our fabric samples in either the “wearable” or “decor” category. π§΅
The winner for the decor category is Kathy Allen with her gorgeous “The Blue Circle Nebula” art piece (pictures 1&2)
The winner for the wearable category was a tough choice for our judges with so many fabulous entries but Cindy Wixon’s vest will take the prize this time. (pictures 3&4) π
The rest of the entries are pictured as well:

Want to learn how to make your own braided-in rug using your old sheets? The second class I’ll teach on this method will be: next Tuesday, 3/5 from 2:00-4:00
I will be charging $25 for those two hours, you are welcome to ask questions at any time though!
This is an upcycling project! You should bring your pre-loved sheets and linens to class to make use of them. The method I learned and teach is based on making use of the uncomfortable synthetic materials that you don’t necessarily want to sleep on, but could make a beautiful rug! I don’t recommend flannel sheets, and encourage “slippery” poly blend type sheets. I have more available to purchase if you want to add extra patterns and color to your rug.
E-mail ebbandflowmaine@gmail.com to register. Limited spots available.
