You (or someone you care about) loved it, bought it, didn’t use it and it’s taking up space in your place. Your materials will be gratefully received and passed along to another sewist, knitter, crocheter, artist at very low prices because you have generously shared them through this resource in your community.

Donation Guidelines:

Donations are pretty relaxed here at Ebb and Flow-I only have a few requests in terms of donations.

  1. Please do not leave donations outside the shop when I’m not open. If you can’t make it to the shop during my open hours, please contact me about setting up a different time to drop things off, instead of leaving them on the porch.

  2. I cannot accept materials with strong odors such as cigarette smoke.

  3. I absolutely don’t need you to wash everything before donating it, but if something is particularly dirty or extra grimy, I ask that you please wash those items before bringing them into the shop.

  4. I am very careful with all donations I receive, especially wool, because of the risk of moths. To protect the shop inventory and customers’ homes, please inspect and/or freeze wool yarn, fabric and fleece before donating.

What We Accept:

  • Fabric – yardage and scraps(no matter how tiny!)

  • Yarn – skeins, cones, balls and tiny bits

  • Patterns & Books

  • Thread/embroidery floss

  • Sewing notions/accessories /tools

  • Weaving supplies

  • Wool- (please be attentive about moths)

  • Vintage tablecloths, napkins, doilies, etc.

  • Sewing machines & accessories

  • Quilts

  • And more!

If you have items you’re not sure about, don’t hesitate to ask!

I can no longer accept sheets, bedding, curtains, pillow & bench covers, etc. These things can be donated elsewhere.

Come visit me at 4 Ellsworth Road during business hours to drop off your donation! If needed, contact me (Sofina) to make arrangements for a different donation time.

Business hours are Wednesday-Sunday 11am-4pm
